A Better Driveshaft for Your Chrysler 300, Charger, or Challenger

Fix the Weak Link in Your Mopar's Drivetrain

If you’ve owned a Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, or Dodge Challenger for any length of time, you’ve probably heard about the factory driveshaft issues. The stock 2-piece shaft is known to cause problems, whether it's vibration, carrier bearing failure, or CV joint wear. At Action Machine, we’ve built a better option: a one-piece aluminum driveshaft that solves those problems and delivers long-term peace of mind.

This isn’t about chasing 1,000 horsepower, it’s about building a stronger, simpler, and more reliable driveshaft that’s made to last.

Why Our Driveshaft is the Right Fix

Made In USA

Made in the USA: Stronger, Higher-Quality Components
We use billet flanges and forged aluminum weld yokes, all precision-machined here in the USA. That means no cast parts, no cut corners, just consistent quality and proper fitment you can count on.

One-Piece Simplicity (No More Carrier Bearing Headaches)
The stock 2-piece design includes a carrier bearing that’s a common failure point. Our one-piece 6061-T6 aluminum shaft eliminates that weak link. With fewer parts to worry about, you’ll get smoother operation and better long-term durability.

Upgrade to U-Joints for Better Longevity
Instead of the stock CV joints, which tend to wear out over time, we use heavy-duty Spicer U-joints, trusted in everything from work trucks to performance builds. They’re strong, dependable, and easy to service.

Built for Real-World Use
Our aluminum tubing (3.5" or 4.0" diameter, depending on your application) is the same material used in race cars and off-road rigs, not because you need to set records, but because it holds up better over time. It’s rated for 3500-4000 ft-lbs of torque depending on the outer diameter, which means plenty of headroom even if you’ve added some bolt-ons or a tune.

Precision Balanced
Each driveshaft is dynamically balanced on our in-house equipment before it ships. That means fewer vibrations, smoother highway driving, and more confidence behind the wheel, whether you're cruising or hitting the gas.

Built In-House by People Who Care
Every shaft is built in our South Bend, Indiana shop by a team that’s been doing this for decades. We don’t outsource anything. We take pride in every shaft that goes out the door.
