Spray welding is a process where powered metals of varying compositions are blown through a torch gun. The high heat of the gun liquifies the powder and propels it onto the repair surface. The powder composition can be targeted to meet your needs by adjusting the hardness, surface texture, and metal composition of the powder. Spray Welding is ideal for many types of repairs including: shaft bearing diameter repair, seal diameter repair, roller repairs, and spindles. » Keyway Repair
Action Machine is an expert at all types of shaft repair, including keyway repairs. We are able to fix worn or damaged keyway through several methods including indexing the shaft 180° or welding up the old key as needed and then recutting it. These and others methods of repair are common at our shop. As a second option, we can reverse engineer the damaged shaft and make a completely new shaft if required.

Action Machine is well equipped with the key machinery needed to perform a wide variety of repairs. CNC Mills & Lathes, boring mill, grinding equipment, welders, and EDM allow us to repair or reproduce any metal, synthetic, graphite or carbon components. Common repairs include roller journals & surfaces, solid shafting, die and fixture repair, lathe and mill work, build up worn parts and machine to size, grinding.
