Action Machine specializes in working with the service and manufacturing industries to repair or reproduce damaged components and machine parts. We have the ability to complete repairs, including bore and keyway repair, on-site if needed.
Action Machine is a flexible company so we are able to meet the diverse needs of many types of businesses. For some customers we handle all of their machine work while others we support only when a job is too big or complicated for their own maintenance staff.
Our extensive experience in Maintenance Machining has developed a broad customer base including manufacturing, construction, transportation, and many others. Action Machine specialists combine the skills of machining, fabricating, welding and mechanical know-how to not only fix the problem, but to hopefully make the machine better than it was before.
Our customers appreciate our straight forward approach to solving problems:
· This is why you are having the problem.
· This is the cost to make the component new vs. the cost to repair.
· These are the pros and cons of making new vs. repairing.
· Here are changes we can make so the component can function better.
· This is our recommendation for action.
· And finally, we follow through with the project and get it done on time and on budget.
Maintenance Machining work includes repairs like:
» Reverse Engineering
|You've got a print for all of the parts of your machine...except for the one that just broke! Not a problem for Action Machine. Our Part to Print reverse engineering service can take your damaged component and rebuild or repair it without a print. Once the repair is complete, we will provide you with a detailed print. See our Reverse Engineering page for more details about how we can help you.
» Bore Repair
Action Machine can quickly and cost effectively repair any round bore on loaders, cranes, fork lifts, and industrial equipment. We have the ability to make repairs at your job site or factory if required.
Repair Examples: Loader Bucket Bore • Crane Boom • Articulating Joints • Truck Axles • Forklift steer axles • Fork lift mast bores • Any machine with bearings or bushings. See our full page on Bore Repair for more examples and information.
» Spray Welding
Spray welding is a process where powered metals of varying compositions are blown through a torch gun. The high heat of the gun liquifies the powder and propels it onto the repair surface. The powder composition can be targeted to meet your needs by adjusting the hardness, surface texture, and metal compostion of the powder. Spray Welding is ideal for many types of repairs including: shaft bearing diameter repair, seal diameter repair, roller repairs, and spindles. See our Welding page for more information on our other welding capabilities including MIG & TIG welding.
» Keyway Repair
Action Machine is an expert at all types of shaft repair, including keyway repairs. We are able to fix worn or damaged keyway through several methods including indexing the shaft 180° or welding up the old key as needed and then recutting it. These and others methods of repair are common at our shop. As a second option, we can reverse engineer the damaged shaft and make a completely new shaft if required.
